RFID Indoor Localization Algorithm Based on Adaptive Self- Correction
نویسندگان
چکیده
With the rapid development of wireless communication and embedded system, wireless positioning systems are paid more and more attention to. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) localization system is getting more important, due to its own advantages, such as no contact, non-line-of-sight nature, promising transmission range and cost-effectiveness. To improve the accuracy of active RFID indoor location system, some traditional RFID indoor localization systems were studied, such as LANDMARC. On this basis, an adaptive selfcorrection location algorithm was presented, which uses a positioning correction value to correct the positioning result. N minimum errors and position results are obtained by using adaptive K-nearest neighbor algorithm N times. The positioning correction value calculated with N minimum errors in weighted way. The sum of the positioning average value and the positioning correction value would be the final positioning results. Experimental results show that compared with adaptive K-nearest neighbor algorithm and error self-correction algorithm, the proposed method provides a higher accuracy and stability.

متن کاملDesign of an HF-Band RFID System with Multiple Readers and Passive Tags for Indoor Mobile Robot Self-Localization
Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has already been explored for efficient self-localization of indoor mobile robots. A mobile robot equipped with RFID readers detects passive RFID tags installed on the floor in order to locate itself. The Monte-Carlo localization (MCL) method enables the localization of a mobile robot equipped with an RFID system with reasonable accuracy, suffici...
متن کاملIndoor/Outdoor Pedestrian Navigation with an Embedded GPS/RFID/Self-contained Sensor System
This paper describes an embedded pedestrian navigation system composed of a self-contained sensors, the Global Positioning System (GPS) and an active Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag system. We use self-contained sensors (accelerometers, gyrosensors and magnetometers) to estimate relative displacement by analyzing human walking locomotion. The GPS is used outdoors to adjust errors in p...
متن کاملLeveled indoor localization algorithms based on passive RFID
We propose three indoor localization algorithms, namely the leveled nearest-neighbor, leveled multilateration and leveled Bayesian inference, to locate stationary objects (books, merchandise) by affixing passive RFID tags to them. The algorithms use a number of passive tags deployed on the known coordinates as reference points. The simulation results show that the proposed leveled detectable co...
متن کاملIndoor Localization of Rfid-equipped Movable Assets Using Mobile Reader Based on Reference Tags Clustering
Indoor localization has gained importance as it has the potential to improve various processes related to the lifecycle management of facilities and to deliver personalized and location-based services. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based systems, on the other hand, have been widely used in different applications in construction and maintenance. This paper investigates the usage of RFID ...
